AMOKURA

50ft F Shepherd Aux Yawl built in 1939

Amokura on slip

Amokura on slip

This fine vessel was recently on the slipway to have a complete re-paint and varnish, in the spring she will return for further work to be carried out. She came to us with a very bad leak in her keel where the mast was stepped, this was the result of a bolt being left out in one of her frames.
Her 2 pack paint work had seriously cracked over the plank seams due to expansion of planks after a very prolonged repair at the IBTC next door to us. After a lot of fairing and preparation a good finish was achieved both to the hull and the varnish work.
