Black Water Sloop
This 1936 built Blackwater sloop was brought to the yard some 14 years ago, over that time its been in many corners of the yard and over those years has had its stern post replaced along with the transom and deck and some of the hull planking.
The deck is Pitch pine traditionally laid with no ply sub deck, the hull is also Pitch Pine on Oak frames and timbers.
Now back in the water awaiting her mast, the owner is willing to sell as no time to use her.
She has been rebuilt without an engine as this is how built originally.

Looking at the bow the previous owner had striped all paint and antifoul from the hull and then left it to the elements. The two poles either side are holding her up as there are chains attached the the chain plates.
Close up of the rudder and propeller show how the stern post was cut the accommodate the installation of the shaft and stern gear. This unfortunately meant that the stern tube was the same width as the stern post and left very little timber resulting in leaks and when removed a stern post that was in two pieces.
stern view showing the original transom, this was found to be rotten and cracked in many places, it had to be removed to replace the stern post.
